The Delegation of European Commission in the Republic of Kenya on behalf of and on the account of the Government of Kenya intends to award a service contract for the Training of Board members for the Lake Victoria South Water Services Board and Water Services Providers Board and committee members with financial assistance from the 9th EOF Programme of the European Communities (EOF).
The bidding is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the financing agreement.
Lake Victoria South Water Services Board (LVSWSB) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Training of Board members for the Lake Victoria South Water Services Board and Water Services Providers Board and committee members.
The scope of the exercise shall involve the following:

The scope of the exercise shall involve the following:
- Carrying out a participatory needs assessment for LVSWSB, 1 urban WSP and 1 rural WSP targeting monitoring and evaluation, performance management, corporate governance, private public partnership, gender mainstreaming and change management.
- Training for 11 LVSWSB and 82 board members from 9 urban WSPs, 180 Management Committee members from 30 rural WSPs and 6 members of the Lake Victoria Water and Sanitation Forum Secretariat on M&E, performance management and corporate governance, private public partnership, gender mainstreaming and change management.
- Documentation of procedures for access to water, sewerage and / or sanitation services for WSPs within their areas of jurisdiction.
- Conduct a baseline survey for water and sewerage/ sanitation coverage and Unaccounted For Water Levels for 9 urban WSPs and 3 rural WSPs.

Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days from the date of opening and must be delivered and placed in the Tender Box at the reception of Lake Victoria South Water Services Board offices at Lavictor's house, off Ring Road Milimani, Kisumu city, Kenya
The deadline for submission of tenders is 9th September 2009 at 10.00 am East African time.
The bids will be opened thereafter in the presence of bidders representatives who chose to attend at the LVSWSB boardroom at Lavictor's house off Ring Road, Milimani, Kisumu City, Kenya.
