Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has received a grant from USAID, Development Assistance Grant Agreement No. 615-005, Improved Natural Resource Management Wildlife Conservation Program.
KWS intends to apply a part of the proceeds in local currency to the procurement of construction services, through fixed price contract.
KWS therefore invites eligible contractors from source country sealed applications for Pre-qualification from registered general building Contractors in Categories F and above who can demonstrate sufficient technical expertise, management capability, workload capacity, and financial resources to perform the work as described here-under:
CONSTRUCTION OF GATEHOUSE AND ASSOCIATED SERVICES AT KIMANA GATE AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK, MEASURING APPROXIMATELY 200SQM IN FLOOR AREA
Interested prospective contractors may obtain the detailed prequalification documents during normal working hours from the office of the Head of Supply Chain Management, Kenya Wildlife Service, KWS headquarters, Nairobi, during normal working hours, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KShs 2,500.00 in cash or bankers' cheque addressed to the Director, Kenya Wildlife Service.
Completed prequalification documents enclosed in sealed envelopes clearly marked Tender No. KWS/HQS/USAID/07/2009-2010', for Construction of Gatehouse and Associated Services at Kimana Gate, Amboseli National Park, shall be delivered and deposited in the "Tender Box" at Simba Court, ground floor, KWS Headquarters, Lang'ata Road 'P.O. Box 40241 - 00100, Nairobi on or before Friday 4th September 2009 at 12:00 noon.
The bids shall be opened thereafter in the presence of bidders or their representatives who wish to attend. Late submissions shall be rejected.
Only short listed contractors shall be invited to submit financial bid in response
to detailed specifications and conditions of contract.
