Kenya Forest Service (KFS) is a State Corporation established by the Forest Act 2005, to provide for the establishment, development and sustainable management, including conservation and rational utilisation of forest resources for the socio-economic development of the country.
The Kenya Forest Service now invites sealed tenders from eligible bidders for Provision of Corporate Insurance Covers: Medical; Group Life and Personal Accident.
Interested tenderers must submit proof that they meet the following criteria:-

The Kenya Forest Service now invites sealed tenders from eligible bidders for Provision of Corporate Insurance Covers: Medical; Group Life and Personal Accident.
Interested tenderers must submit proof that they meet the following criteria:-
- Be an established insurance firm.
- Must have been in business for not less than five years.
- Must be handling business in excess of Kshs 100 million per year.
- Must have a paid up capital of Kshs 300 million as required by IRA.
- Must attach audited accounts for the last three (3) years (2007-2009).
- Must be registered with the IRA and AKI.
- Must attach a list of five largest Corporate Insurance Cover accounts they currently operate.
- Tenderers should take note that only those with physical address, valid trade license/business, tax compliance and registered with VAT will be considered.
- Prices quoted must remain valid for 90 (ninety) days from the closing date of this tender notice.
- The tenderer shall furnish, as part of its tender, a tender security of Ksh 60,000.00 in cash or a bank guarantee from a reputable bank with a validity period of 90 days.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the tender documents from the Head of Supply Chain Management Office, Kenya Forest Service Headquarters, Karura- Off Kiambu Road, during the office working hours; Monday through Friday, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ksh.3,000 per set of documents in cash or in Bankers cheque payable to the Director, Kenya Forest Service.
Completed bid documents must be received by the Service at the address below not later than 06.07.2010 in plain sealed envelopes marked as follows; ‘’KFS/06/2009-2010 – Provision of Corporate Insurance Covers: Medical; Group Life and Personal Accident’’: Do not open before 12.00noon 06.07.2010’’ should be addressed to:

The tender documents should be placed in the tender box situated on Ground floor reception area of KFS, Headquarters Karura off Kiambu Road so as to be received on/or before 06.07.2010 at 12.00 noon.
Tenders submitted later than the indicated closing date and time shall automatically be disqualified.
Tender Opening will take place immediately on the same date in the same building in the Main Boardroom.
Tenderers or their representatives who wish to attend are invited to witness the opening.
Kenya Forest Service reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the tenders either in whole or in part and is not bound to give reasons thereof.
