Supply and Installation of Furniture, Electronics and Solar Heating System

Local Authorities Provident Fund (Lapfund) is a body Corporate established by an Act of Parliament Cap 272 to manage retirement benefits for employees of Local Authorities and associated companies in Kenya. In pursuance of our mandate, Lapfund is in the process of finalizing construction of high end serviced apartments located along Mucai Drive, close to MIMOSA COURT, off Ngong Road, Nairobi.

Lapfund invites prospective bidder with suitably proven experience and capacity to design, supply and install furniture, electronics, other fittings and install solar heating system to express interest so as to be pre – qualified to bid for the designing, supplying and installing of furniture, electronics, other fittings and installation of solar heating system.

The following are minimum requirements:-
  1. Must be suppliers, dealers or manufactures of furniture and solar systems with ability to design, supply and install furniture, electronics, other fittings and solar heating system
  2. Must have previously undertaken similar projects especially in hospitality industry
  3. Must provide proof of financial and personnel capabilities
  4. Must provide the Company profile inclusive of past and present ventures of similar nature undertaken by the firm
The Expression of Interest, comprising the personal details, registered office, and all other information required should be submitted in Hard Copy documents comprising an original and five copies clearly marked “EOI FOR DESIGNING, SUPPLYING AND INSTALLING OF FURNITURE AND FITTINGS AND INSTALLATION OF SOLAR HEATING SYSTEM”

To meet eligibility all interested applicants are required to submit their proposal to Local Authorities Provident Fund Offices, Gateway Business Park, 9th floor, along Mombasa road and attach the following documents:
  1. Registration of Business name certificate and/or Certificate of incorporation
  2. Copies of relevant registrations with relevant bodies
  3. Tax Compliance Certificate/ single business permit with the relevant local authority
  4. Audited Financial Statements for the last three years
  5. Provide brochures and other supporting materials describing furniture and equipment with its dimension and technical specifications to be supplied and or manufactured by the firm
  6. The Firm’s capability statement and profiles of proposed key personnel
  7. Proof of similar works previously undertaken
  8. Letter of recommendation from the firm bankers
The interested bidders may request for clarification on the Expression of Interest up to five days before the EOI submission date. There will be a site visit on Wednesday 2nd June 2010 at 2.30 pm at the project site located along Mucai Drive, off Ngong Road, Nairobi. Interested bidders are all invited to attend. Any request for clarification must be sent in writing either by post office mail, facsimile or electronic mail to the address below. Expression of Interest documents should be submitted to:

and deposited in the tender box located in our reception area (Gateway Business Park, 9th floor, along Mombasa road)on or before 11th June 2010 at 12.00 noon. The EOI submissions will be opened in the presence of representatives who may choose to witness on 11th June 2010 at 12:30pm.

The Fund reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal in whole or in part and is not bound to give reasons for the decision thereof
